Moveat and Hevy Coach.

Hevy Coach is built around one thing it does very well: your client logs every set and every weight in the Hevy app. Moveat is built around another: the diet you write and the check in your client sends. They are less rivals than two halves, and Moveat uses the exact exercise names of Hevy so the two can work side by side.

Pick Hevy Coach if

  • You coach training, and you want your clients to log every set, rep and weight.
  • Your clients already train with the Hevy app and love it.
  • You want a library of more than 400 filmed exercises.
  • Nutrition is not something you write for your clients.

Pick Moveat if

  • The diet is the centre of what you sell, with macros that come from a food database.
  • You want a weekly check in with weight, measurements, photos and how the week felt.
  • You want to start free, with two clients, before paying anything.
  • Your clients log their training in Hevy and you want the diet and the check in somewhere else.

Hevy Coach has no free plan: their first tier is paid from your very first client.

Their tiers rarely land on round numbers. When a tier covers more clients than the row says, the price shown is the one you actually pay at that headcount.

    Nutrition not included

The differences that actually change your month

01

A diet written in the app, not a file attached to it

Hevy Coach has no diet editor. Their own articles describe sending a file, such as a meal plan, and a nutrition note on a programme day, and point to other apps for macros. In Moveat you write the diet meal by meal, the macros come from the food database, and your client reads exact quantities on their phone.

02

Free to start, against paying from the first client

Hevy Coach has a 30 day trial and then a paid plan from the first client. Moveat stays free up to two clients, diet and check ins included, with no time limit.

03

The same exercise names, on purpose

Every exercise in Moveat carries the exact name it has in Hevy, in English and in French. A client who logs their weights in the free Hevy app finds the movement you wrote, word for word, without guessing.

04

Your client downloads nothing for Moveat

Moveat opens from a link in the browser and can be pinned to the home screen. Hevy Coach coaches through the Hevy app, which your client installs.

What Hevy Coach does better

Training logs

Every set, every rep, every weight, with charts per exercise. Moveat does not log training at all, it is a deliberate choice, and if that log is what you need, Hevy is the reference.

The exercise library

More than 400 exercises with video. Moveat suggests a short demo on nearly 190 common exercises and lets you add your own.

Large rosters and teams

Their plan goes up to 1,000 clients, with coaching teams and a shared library. Moveat is built for an independent coach.

Questions people ask before switching

How much does Hevy Coach cost per month?

Read on their own pricing page on 24 October 2026, Hevy Coach asks 25 $ a month for 1 client, and 90 $ for 50 clients. At the same headcount, Moveat shows Free, then 59.99 $. Those are the amounts shown on their side, billed in USD, and the source is their page, https://hevycoach.com/pricing.

Can I use Moveat and Hevy together?

Yes, and it is how Moveat is meant to work with Hevy users. Your client logs their training in the Hevy app, which is free for them, and you write the diet and read the check in in Moveat. The exercise names in your Moveat programme are the exact names in Hevy, so your client finds each movement without guessing.

Does Hevy Coach include meal plans?

Not as a diet editor. Their pages describe attaching a file, such as a meal plan, or adding a nutrition note to a programme day, and they point to other apps to track macros. Moveat writes the diet in the app, with macros from a food database.

Do my clients pay for Hevy Coach?

No. The coach pays the subscription, and their page says clients are coached through the Hevy app for free, with Hevy Pro included. Clients never pay for Moveat either.

What if Moveat does not do what I need?

Then tell us. There is a link for it in your settings, and every message is read by the person who builds the product. Moveat is young and still moving, and a request from a coach with real clients weighs more than a roadmap written in advance. We will not promise to build everything, that would be a lie, but nothing gets thrown away and you will know what was kept.
