MOVEAT
For coaches

When the spreadsheet stops being enough.

A spreadsheet is an honest tool. It does exactly what you type, it costs nothing, and it belongs to you. It also has one hard limit that no amount of formula work fixes: it cannot receive anything. Every number in it got there because you put it there.

You are the data entry

Your client sends a message. You open the file, find the right tab, find the right row, type the number. Multiply by fifteen clients, every week. That is not admin around the coaching, at some point it becomes most of the job.

And it only holds while you are the one doing it. The week you are ill, or travelling, the sheet simply stops being current, and there is no sign on it saying so.

It fails silently, which is the worst way to fail

A dragged formula that stops one row short. A column sorted without its neighbours. A comma typed where the decimal point belonged. None of these announce themselves. The sheet keeps showing a number, and the number is wrong.

Photos never make it in at all. They live in your phone, in a chat, in a folder named after a date. Comparing month one to month four means opening three places at once.

What a spreadsheet is genuinely better at

One off calculations, your own formulas, a quick model you invented for one client. A sheet will always beat a product at improvising, because it has no opinion about what you are doing.

Nobody should give that up. Keep the sheet for the thinking. What it should not keep doing is holding the record of fifteen people's bodies.

Keep the calculating. Move the collecting.

This is not about abandoning a tool you know. It is about who does the typing.

A spreadsheet still wins at

  • Your own formulas and your own way of counting
  • A one off model for one specific client
  • Anything you invent this week and throw away next week
  • Exports and archives you want to own outright

Moveat does instead

  • The client enters their own numbers, from their phone
  • Photos arrive in the same poses, stored privately
  • Macros computed from a real food database, never guessed
  • The history builds itself, week after week, with no typing

The same check-in, two ways

One client, one Monday. Follow where the work actually goes.

The numbers arrive

Today

A message, then a voice note, then you open the file and type it all in.

With Moveat

Your client fills the form in five minutes. Nothing to retype.

The photos

Today

In the camera roll, in the chat, in a folder. Somewhere.

With Moveat

In a private bucket, same poses, ready to compare.

Reading the trend

Today

You build a chart, and rebuild it when a row shifts.

With Moveat

The curve is already there, and it reflects what was sent.

Sending the diet back

Today

Another tab, another file, another version to keep track of.

With Moveat

You write it and publish it. Your client sees the current one.

Questions coaches actually ask

Can I get my data out?

Yes. Your data stays yours, and it leaves the way it came. That is a condition of trusting any product, and a spreadsheet is right to make you ask.

Do I have to give up my own formulas?

No. Keep the sheet for whatever you invented. Moveat is there for the part a sheet cannot do, which is receiving what your client sends.

Where do the macros come from?

From a real food database or from labels, never from an estimate. A guessed calorie makes the whole diet wrong, so nothing here is guessed.

Is it worth it for a handful of clients?

Two clients are free, with no card and no time limit, so you can answer that with your own clients rather than take our word for it.

Stop being the data entry.

Let one client send one check-in. You will see immediately whether it saves you the hour it is supposed to.
